Network Operations Technician

We maintain a growing network of VPN connections terminating in our data center to support company operations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of network troubleshooting procedures along with strong organizational and analytical skills. Candidate should have skills in each of the following areas:

Job Overview

	Strong knowledge of IP networks and trouble shooting methodologies
	Candidate should have good communication, problem solving skills, ability to take ownership towards resolving an issue
	Candidate must be reliable and detail oriented
	Ability to multi-task a must
	Willingness to learn new applications and products and adaptable to change
	Must be available to work weekend shifts if required

Responsibilities of Network Operations Technician

	Provide technical network problem determination and resolution support to internal and external customers.
	Assist field operations with implementation of new red light camera networks.
	Daily management, monitoring and reporting of existing network infrastructure.
	Work with vendors to provide reliable network facilities.
	Work along with various levels of management and departments in addressing, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
	Proactively build constructive relationships with other internal operations organizations.

Experience Required

	2+ years experience supporting TCP/IP environments.
	2+ years computer network troubleshooting experience.
	Experience with ATS RLC infrastructure is a plus.

Technical Competencies

	TCP/IP knowledge
	Strong network troubleshooting skills
	Cisco PIX/ASA experience
	Router/Layer three switching experience
	IPSEC tunnel experience
	Cellular telephone (EvDO) knowledge is a plus

Other Competencies

	Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
	Must be a self starter able to work independently as well as part of the Application Support team
	Attention to detail
	Must be familiar with the Microsoft Suite of office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer)
	Ability to work 24 hour on-call rotation

Work Environment

Office environment located in the Scottsdale Airpark area. Job does not require significant travel. Tasks will generally be completed sitting at a desk in the office working closely with other people.
