Marketing Research Analyst

Job Overview

The Marketing Research Analyst reports to Marketing Director on all matters relating to research in support of strategic planning, business development and capture activities. The Analyst will also compile and analyze statistical data on market trends, perform forecasting using budgetary and contract award data, provide competitive analysis on various companies' market offerings, identify market trends, pricing/ business models, sales and methods of operation. The Analyst collects and maintains information on the requirements, organization, financial, and preferences of prospective and current customers.  The successful candidate MUST HAVE proficiency in searching for and acquiring material from open source databases, as well as from individuals, organizations and libraries not located in databases. Responds promptly to staff requests for market research data and analysis and uses databases to catalogue findings.

The successful candidate will be capable of autonomously analyzing quantitative data, industry trends, competition, and company strategies and consolidating information into actionable items, reports and presentations directly for principal users. Additionally, the employee must be proficient at multi-tasking. The ability to manage several research reports and projects under strict timelines is imperative. A key goal of this position will be to harness the value of the extensive data repository maintained in multiple departments to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities to increase competitiveness.

Requirements:

	Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing, Statistics or related field
	Minimum 4 years of related experience
	Proven problem solving skills using deductive reasoning and understanding hierarchical relationships
	Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
	Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
	Excellent knowledge of PC applications such as MS Office programs, internet search engines and business research tools, including online databases, for example, Dialog and Federal Procurement Databases
	MUST bring analytic work samples to interview
	Strong process and analysis skills
	Solid knowledge in competitive intelligence, web analytics, report development and working knowledge of data warehousing, data modeling and data mining
	Experience working and analyzing data from CRM program
	Salesforce.com knowledge and experience preferred

Office environment in the Scottsdale Airpark area. Job may require some travel. Tasks will generally be completed sitting at a desk using a computer, working closely with other people.
