Brooksville, FL chooses American Traffic Solutions to run photo enforcement program

Scottsdale, AZ - Brooksville, Florida has signed a contract with American Traffic Solutions, INc (ATS) to run the City’s red-light camera enforcement program. Making the City of Brooksville the first in Hernando County to start a photo-enforcement program. All the camera systems will be equipped with ATS’ latest ultra high-resolution digital cameras.

According to Brooksville Police Chief George Turner, "Statistics and examples from across Florida and the Country prove that red-light cameras save lives. We're excited that ATS will be installing red-light cameras in Brooksville so that our community can benefit from the reduction in the crashes and injuries caused by red-light runners."

The City of Brooksville is the twelfth Florida jurisdiction where ATS has been chosen to provide photo safety enforcement programs with the company’s advanced photo traffic safety and enforcement technology. In Florida, ATS already serves, is contracted, or has been selected by Apopka, Aventura, Florida City, Miami Gardens, North Miami, Orange County, Palm Coast, Pembroke Pines, Port Richey, Satellite Beach and Temple Terrace.

In addition, ATS’ PlatePass®, an automated, non-stop payment service, is now available on every Hertz, Avis and Budget rental car. PlatePass® allows rental car customers to use Florida’s SunPass Only and E-Pass non-stop, high-speed cashless toll lanes without the hassle of paying tolls manually.
