SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–Employees of American Traffic Solutions have been cooking up a storm – and helped raise $2,000 for The Police Officers of Scottsdale Association’s (POSA) 7th Annual “Shop with a Cop” program.

ATS hosted a series of hot breakfasts and bake sales to raise funds for Scottsdale Police Officers who are preparing local disadvantaged school children for the new school year. Each child will accompany a police officer during the week of August 1-7 on a shopping trip for new shoes, clothing and a backpack full of school supplies.

“ATS is proud to support the Scottsdale Police and the many children and families that benefit from this back-to-school program,” said James Tuton, ATS President and CEO. “We are an Arizona company committed to making a difference where we call home.”

Through the ATS GO Team, an employee-driven charity program, ATS has also donated to and volunteered for such organizations as the cities of Tempe and Scottsdale’s parks and recreation departments, A New Leaf, The 100 Club, United Blood Services, Multiple Sclerosis, Vista del Camino Food Bank, St. Vincent de Paul, The Foundation for Blind Children, Wills for Heroes Foundation, Red Means Stop and Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

“Our goal is to create a positive work environment where employees know that giving back to our neighbors is just as valuable as they are to ATS,” Tuton said.
